Henry T. Blake papers, 1852-1934.

Correspondence, memoranda, notes, legal papers, scrapbooks, clippings, photos, and other papers, chiefly relating to New Haven's parks and history, Blake's service on the New Haven Public Parks Board, his book, Chronicles of New Haven Green from 1838 to 1862 (1898), and his interests in ballot reform and child study; together with records (1891-1913) of Defenders' Monument Association, a group formed by New Haven Colony Historical Society to plan, fund, and produce a historical monument (Defenders' Monument) honoring the successful defense of New Haven by its citizens at the time of the British invasion in 1779.
